Mrs. Dermady's class, the students that I service from her class and I are reading and excellent book set in the time of The Great Depression called Bud, Not Buddy. We are about a quarter of the way into the book and already the students have learned many important facts and terms that relate to that time period in history. We are truly enjoying the book and can't wait to continue with it. Bud, the main character is an orphan who travels with a suitcase full of items that are extremely important to him. Bella, Anthony and I created suitcases and brought in small items that are important to us. We shared them and spoke about our lives.
